Saint-Gobain manufactures inert, ADCF, transparent, 510(k) cleared fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) bags utilizing a proprietary laser welding technology that allows for a multitude of custom bag shapes and sizes, ranging from 1mL to 50L.
Both VueLife® and KryoSure® bags are made with USP Class VI FEP material. The bags are optically clear, gas permeable, and able to remain flexible at liquid nitrogen temperatures, making them an ideal choice for both cell culture and cryopreservation applications. In addition to FEP bags, Saint-Gobain manufactures tubing, fittings, and other accessories, giving us the unique capability to work with our customers to design complete, closed systems specific to their needs.
American Fluoroseal Corporation, acquired by Saint-Gobain in 2013, pioneered the design and use of the FEP bags in 1982 for medical use.
