KryoSure® and KryoVue®
KryoSure and KryoVue Products Overview
Saint-Gobain offers a complete line of USP Class VI fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) KryoSure containers that are FDA 510(k) cleared and intended to be used for the containment of fluids and suspensions during transportation, processing, incubation, storage and cryopreservation. KryoSure cryopreservation bags and KryoSure cryopreservation overwraps provide durability, transparency and flexibility at extreme temperatures in mechanical freezers, vapor phase freezers or direct immersion in liquid nitrogen.
In addition, Saint-Gobain offers a KryoVue product line that includes alterative cryopreservation overwraps and sterility covers utilizing a *Kapton® film with FEP inside and polyimide outside.
Closed Cryopreservation System
KryoSure bags provide a closed system for the sterile transfer and aseptic recovery of sterile contents. Design features include a label pocket for identification as well as FEP covers to protect the ports during cryopreservation. Additionally, KryoSure bags have rounded inside corners to reduce the risk of ice points that can damage the bag.
Custom Bag Designs
Saint-Gobain’s proprietary laser welding technology allows for the creation of custom KryoSure bags of virtually any shape with sizes ranging from 1mL to 50L. Saint-Gobain can also customize bags by substituting tubing available in the Saint-Gobain tubing line, including C-Flex® and Tygon®, as a replacement for the current standard PVC tubing used on the culture bags.
*Kapton® is a registered trademark of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co
Saint-Gobain KryoSure Cryopreservation Bags are designed as a closed system for freezing, thawing, and transfer of sterile contents.
KryoSure overwraps are bags with one open end that are made from the same USP Class VI, fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) used for KryoSure freezing bags.
