Proprietary Manufacturing Process
Saint-Gobain has a proprietary, contact-free, laser manufacturing process for welding fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) films together to make bags. This unique technique makes it possible to develop products of many different shapes and sizes with exceptional strength and durability to be used as high quality, closed systems for a multitude of cell therapy applications. All products are manufactured in a Class 100,000 clean room in compliance with cGMP.

All standard VueLife® and KryoSure® bags are designed as closed systems and come standard with sterile-dockable tubing, to allow sterile addition or transfer of materials. Their interior will remain sterile even if the bag is removed from the autoclave pouch in an open laboratory environment.
Adherent Culture Technology
If adherence is needed, Saint-Gobain offers a line of VueLife Adherent Culture (“AC”) bags. This proprietary surface treatment results in the VueLife “AC” Bag interior having a higher surface energy than the VueLife “C” Bag. The modified surface of the VueLife “AC” Bag is meant to better promote cell and protein adhesion to the surface of the bag.
Applications Beyond Cell Therapy
With durability and quality built in, our bags have proven their durability and quality both here on Earth and beyond. Our VueLife systems have been used on the Space Shuttle for numerous zero-gravity biological experiments and for storage of water used by the astronauts. These special culture bags can withstand the extreme shock, temperatures and pressures faced in outer space.
