VueLife® Cell Culture & Processing Bags
Saint-Gobain offers a complete line of USP Class VI fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) VueLife® containers that are intended to be used for the containment of fluids and suspensions during transportation, processing, incubation, storage and cryopreservation. VueLife® bags are an excellent choice for cell culture offering permeability to oxygen and carbon dioxide, while remaining impermeable to water.
The VueLife® “C” Series Bags use an untreated form of FEP film, while the VueLife® "HP" Series Bags use an untreated FEP/silicone laminate allowing for increased gas permeation. Conversely, VueLife® “AC” Series Bags utilize a treated form of the FEP. This proprietary surface treatment results in the VueLife® “AC” Bag interior having a higher surface energy than the VueLife® “C” Bag. The modified surface of the VueLife® “AC” Bag is meant to better promote cell and protein adhesion to the surface of the bag.
Custom Bag Designs
Saint-Gobain’s proprietary laser welding technology allows for the creation of custom VueLife® bags of virtually any shape with sizes ranging from 1mL to 50L. Saint-Gobain can also customize bags by substituting tubing available in the Saint-Gobain tubing line, including C-Flex® and Tygon®, as a replacement for the current standard PVC medical device tubing used on the culture bags.
Unlike traditional bag manufacturing methods, no investment in tooling/molds is required to create a custom product and therefore timelines and commitments for custom work can be greatly reduced. Our unique manufacturing process coupled with our application expertise allows us to be able to quickly address custom solution requests, even at order quantities as low as 10 items.
